Pros

Not very much to be honest.

Cons

PTO policy. You call out and get written up even with person/sick time available. Vacation days are always given to the same people every year and no chance to take specific time off. Full commission inside sales is horrendous. You could work with a customer on deal and another sales rep could call that customer and offer to sell it to them for $5 less than I offered it and they get to steal your hard work. Sales managers would condone this type of behavior so that we are aggressive with our sales tactics. Sales teams were split between three sales managers and between two physical locations. Managers from one call center would often let their employees perform sketchy and unethical sales tactics to take sales away from the team at the other location. Your manager would never want to challenge other teams or their managers and you often lost sales for reasons out of your control. If a part went defective for a customer, another rep could get a call from a delivery driver to replace it. That would then in turn allow that rep to return your sale, sometimes a $300+ commission sale, and place the replacement order in their name. I had many paychecks go below the minimum wage threshold due to unethical order processing by other reps and managers who refused to correct the order.

Pros

Easy to make a quick buck short term.

Cons

Pay stays the same while work load steadily increases. Managers watch Netflix more than manage. Big boss is never there but collects his bonuses while lower level works hard long hours for less and less pay. No advancements. It’s a job not a career.
