Good company to work for. Good benefits, laid back environment, lots of room for advancement, plenty of locations to transfer to

Cons

Can't think of any cons for this company except lots of communication not being utilized properly, information withheld frequently from staff

Pros

work hours are good, commute was good.

Cons

Lower level employees are not appreciated. No raises are given EVER. They will use you to get what they need and fire you as soon as they do. They have no respect for the employees who do all the work. The only ones well compensated are upper management. Very high turnover rate for most departments. They only are about who you know or who you do.

Busy, but interesting

Pros

LKQ has positions for any skill or trade that a person has, from mechanics or computers to human relations and customer service. They are very good at taking your talents and putting them to the best use, and are usually more than willing to let you try your hand at a job that you haven't done before.

Cons

There is not a lot of communication between the higher-ups and the average workers. It seems sometimes that management and corporate does not realize just how important their workers are for the company. Most plants seem addicted to temp workers just for the sake of replacing them if they get flaky, which stresses current workers having to constantly retrain someone every few days. They are also very opposed to new ideas if they were not thought of by a higher-up, whether good or bad. If an idea is good enough, it is implemented, and the higher-up in charge of the person who originally came up with the idea gets the credit. Very shameful for a company half based on human relations. They also seem to be hell bent on buying other companies over improving their existing companies and making sure their current workers can afford their rent.
