Pros

Good compensation and lots of opportunities for advancement for employees that prove themselves, and are willing to expand their roles. Willingness to relocate is very valuable in this company, as key positions are always coming available at different locations across North America. Compensation for management tied to the performance of the branch is excellent, as key employees have a personal interest in seeing the location & company succeed.

Cons

As with most large corporations, there can be challenges getting some simple things done. Waiting for approvals, ensuring that proper regulatory procedures (SOX, ISO, Ect) are followed can delay and complicate otherwise simple tasks. Project management is also surprisingly poor for facility expansions and moves, which is unexpected since this company has grown through acquisition and integration. There seem to be just too many people involved, with muddled communication. With so many projects on the go for the ops team, no one gets the proper attention it should probably deserve.

Pros

There are not many pros about this job other than that it is a stable job and customers you deliver to are friendly.

Cons

Oh where to begin! This place is so disorganized. Higher up management doesn't care about employees. Some employees have been there 6 years with no raise. Employees not rewarded for the work that they do! Management expects so much for little pay! The turnover of employees is the highest I have EVER seen. They let good employees walk because they do not want to pay them. Certain routes have way more than other routes and management does not have the employees help each other out. So one guy may have 5 stops while another has 18. Trust me this is definitely no a place to consider working.

Pros

As long as the company keeps growing, there's always something new to learn. Compensation for accountants in Nashville is competitive, even though the benefits are just adequate..

Cons

More and more, how far you get in the company depends on how popular you are with management.. From personal experience, I would advise against relocating with LKQ should the opportunity arise. Promises of advancement/promotions were made to me before I moved across the country, but I actually got demoted.
