The salary was decent and the benefits were good.
Cons
Toxic work environment that was very clicky. There were no set policies or documentation. Management micromanaged, and did not offer support when needed.

High wages, shift work so you can have 4 days off in a row, jobs aren't overly physically demanding, union protects workers, paid safety training, online courses for free, tuition program for kids of employees, some opportunities to move up by seniority, decent benefit plans, equal RRSP contributions, opportunities to make more with overtime

night shifts, having to switch between night and day shifts all the time is hard on your body, repetitive work, gets boring, some safety procedures not always followed, caddy work environment, union protects some workers who don't do their jobs, low bonuses for front line workers, dealing with hazardous chemicals on daily basis, poor air quality, favouritism

PTO policy is good and an offsite clinic is only for employees and their families.
Cons
Classic good old boy clique, yes men only need to apply, PM corrupt by hiring friends. You cannot go to HR as they are all friends and cover for reach others. Corporate is aware and does nothing. The place is filthy unless a VP is coming to visit the site then it gets cleaned.
