Pros

Great co-workers. Some long lasting friendships were forged while I was there.

Cons

Toxic environment spurred by back biting managers. I was hired to upgrade a web product that was already due to be rebuiilt seven years ago. Competitors have slowly been eating out lunch and the product is barely viable now. There is no budget for your professional development.

Pros

Very passionate co-workers. The shop went from a very disorganized state to one where we could deliver a lot. Good shop for generalist programmers.

Cons

Corporate mantra was routinely abused to justify technology picks that were less about technical correctness and more about what was currently politically advantageous to do. This left the most loyal employees in the department feeling discontent and duped. Frequent turnover of entire management teams. If you want to a developer for specific technology e.g. .NET Developer, Java Developer, Cloud developer etc. this won't be a good fit.

Pros

Competitive Salary, fun projects, smart employees. Even given LPI's target market, there is so much diversity among the employees which is great.

Cons

The company has some competing projects so it's not uncommon to be pulled off what you're working on to work on a different project.
