Pros

Friendly and casual work environment, overall a good work/life balance, great benefits. LSI products have a lot of great potential.

Cons

My biggest complaint is the constant churn of middle/upper management. Seems like at least once a week we get an e-mail about a re-org of some group. This causes a lot of churn in direction and process. There also seems to be a lack of actual focus on quality product. A lot of lip service is given, but we spend a lot more time talking than doing. We spend so much time trying to kiss up to customers and provide the latest and greatest feature that we don't take the proper time to make sure the stuff we already have is high-quality like we used to.

Pros

LSI is a great place to work if you are new to the Engineering workforce and want to move up through the ranks. Different divisions in the company provide different opportunities an in some areas it is relatively easy to move up. The pay and benefits package are decent enough to keep most people around until a better offer falls into their laps.

Cons

Management is ineffective. Hard decisions take to long to be made and business decisions tend to get pushed down into the engineer ranks which consumes the engineers time. LSI has followed the industry standard of working with India to find cheaper labor which has been an ongoing debacle.
