Pros

The women I worked with were absolutely amazing. It was so much fun selling luxury lingerie. One of the best jobs I have ever had.

Cons

Very strict dress code, red lips, one pearl earring in each ear, no watches, "milky" nail polish, and the uniform was awful and very hard to clean. Needed more language on merchandise.

La Perla Response

We appreciate you providing your feedback on your experience at La Perla. La Perla believes in an open door policy for their employees to go their direct managers or any other level of management if they do not feel comfortable. As of last year we added on an additional resource, our Training Manager, to help support our retail team members. We apologize if you feel you did not receive proper training as we pride ourselves on creating a structure to educate and provide the necessary tools for our teams to succeed. As a company we believe in consistency in managing all employees and treating all team members fairly in a professional manner. We believe in succession planning and performance reviews in order to encourage future growth and longevity with the company. Our retail managers are required to sell as they should be leading by example on the sales floor; this should not create conflict as it is intended to be a part of working as a team to achieve a common goal. As stated, we have an open door policy and encourage all employees to utilize this outlet. We agree with you on the desire to have a leadership team at all levels that creates an environment that inspires and motivates their teams.

Pros

Decent medical and dental benefits.

Cons

Poor management (not supportive and very rude). Hardly any discount on product (I believe it was 20-30%, which doesn't help much when the bras are $200. I worked there about a year and could never afford to buy anything). Commission structure makes it very difficult for new comers to make any money because existing employees "claim" clients so even if you make a sale, the commission has to go to the person who's worked with them before.
