Pros

A chance to work with some incredibly bright and interesting people, new technology is being used on existing projects and interesting work is in the pipeline, finally the internal innovation has begun again, good culture and work nights out, the current teams are balanced well with a strong feeling of camaraderie, Lab49 do pay well and certainly a lot better than most other industries, lots of improvements have been made with more to come.

Cons

Tough deliverables and bad planning resulted in some late nights at the end of 2012, key changes are needed within some key areas, management need to be more accommodating and understanding.

Pros

They occasionally have some interesting, challenging projects.

Cons

Among many other things, their fixed price model always leaves the client unhappy, the projects half-baked, and the staff unfulfilled. The corporate culture went way downhill while I was there. Everyone slogs through their day overworked, underpaid, and unenthusiastic about their work. They don't practice their own model when working on internal projects, which are a mess.

Pros

* Lots of smart people to work with * The company tries to lead teach those it works with to fish, rather than just providing fish * Clients provide interesting challenges

Cons

* Clients sometimes provide *interesting* challenges (political rather than technical) * When the persons you are working with do not want to learn to fish, at least there is money to be made in selling fish
