Pros

There are a lot of great employees at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and it's a small hospital if that's what you're looking for for employment. Super clean environment.

Cons

The cons with LWR Medical Center is the lack of staff. There is always a huge turnover mainly because of being overworked for low wages. The company works off of productivity, meaning that if it's slow there today then tomorrows schedule for employees will be based on yesterdays slow day, even if the next day is super busy. The stress can get super high with the demand to get your job done, however, it could be improved if the hospital could keep their employees. There are a lot of jobs within LWR that are PRN, so if your looking for consistent employment with a solid paycheck, then look somewhere else. Once the season is over and all the snowbirds have gone home then your hours are sure to be cut. The hospital doesn't offer much when it comes to continued education. $1,000 a year toward schooling for part-timers and $2,000 a year for full-timers. You can definitely get better educational assistance and hourly pay with Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
