Pros

Some of the best benefits I am aware of, solid compensation especially for new hires, great work/life balance, focus on core values (meaning minimal "sharp elbows"), great industry to be in as well since there don't seem to be many futures where we need fewer chips.

Cons

No specific corporate-wide cons other than those typical of a Fortune 500-sized, publicly traded company. Pretty solid all around in the business units I'm familiar with.

Pros

Very well positioned for the current AI boom. You will likely still have a job in a few years lol. The company has a solid culture and ethics. Hard working but overall fair. Haven’t seen any sketchy stuff.

Cons

You’re going to work a lot. Pay is not as high as famous Bay Area tech companies. Lots to learn and lots of stress.

Pros

* Pay is towards the lower end of the industry, even compared to much smaller companies * Technology is truly amazing. Some brilliant and dedicated engineers work there

Cons

* Pay needs to be about 15% higher. Claims the "budget doesn't allow for it" are tired, considering continuous successes, and ridiculous stock buybacks * Erratic work hours including very late or very early meetings to accommodate global customers * Undue added stress especially for long-term projects. Lam seems to want to placate their customers with "quick turnover"... truly illogical for long-term projects * The return to office fever continues w/ unjustified metrics. Hybrid work setting that was yanked even when ~90% of the role could be performed remotely. The excuse? Quick turnover again. Unreasonable considering the scope of the projects
