      Pros

      Great place to work, total benefits and room for advancement and growing in your field of endeavor. One of the best firms in Silicon Valley to be at.

      Cons

      Down cycles in the industry can be brutal and may result in layoffs. The tool companies are the first to feel a down turn with cancelled orders or deferred deliveries and are always the last to recover because companies are cautious about investing in new spending on Capital Equipment.

      Lam Research has great benefits to offer for insurance, education reimbursement, fitness reimbursement, and stock investments.

      Cons

      Lam Research is under-manned for the Hillsboro, Oregon location. There is not enough field service engineers to fill the shifts so working overtime is basically required.

      Pros

      The benefits are wonderful, management cares about your well being, the pay is competitive, and you will find that there is plenty of opportunity to challenge your skill sets so you can continue to develop. I definitely recommend them.

      Cons

      It’s a cube farm haha. Get ready for that. Least at the California locations it is. Environmentally they could improve the feel of the work place. Especially considering the hours one spends there.
