      Its very political

      Pros

      Its a good place to work if you like to do process engineering jobs, because you will get tons of it. the company is immigration friendly (useful tip for people on visa). Profit sharing practices are very transparent and good. benefit packages are good.

      Cons

      The atmosphere is highly political and promotion system is not fair. Middle management is not competent and does a very lousy job of executing and transferring objectives from top management. Too much nepotism. Work pressure is at times unreasonable.

      Okay place to work if you chose to ignore the overbearing politics and rampant favoritism

      Pros

      Very customer focused. Solid opportunities for engineering development if you are in the right group. Stable management team. Sizable amount of cash on the balance sheet. Market leader in the etch space.

      Cons

      Work-life balance gets lowest priority. Frustratingly unbelievable favoritism and politics. Promotion opportunities are filled only by people in the "inner circle" and deserving and hard-working people get ignored and side-tracked and eventually leave.

      Significant challenges on a global basis offer constant engagement and stimulation. Intelligent employees. Opportunity for increased responsibilities when the business climate permits.

      Cons

      Highly subject to the whims of high tech. People placed in positions based on availability rather than capability. Stock options are few and far between.
