Pros

People are ambitious, passionate, and hardworking.

Cons

The leadership is oriented mainly around the business. Not sensitive to the passion and energy of people hired. Many untruths are told to influence and manipulate employees. The company took advantage of many passionate architects for corporate benefits—brand over people. People who see through leave primarily because of a lack of honesty and transparency. The company started with passion and moved quickly towards the cold business-far detached from the mission of architecture.

LJC has evolved quite a bit since its original founding. Some of the earlier priorities have adapted to meet our client's needs and to be a better partner to the companies within the Clayco enterprise. At the core, we remain committed to the professional development of our team and to providing creative solutions to the needs of our clients and community.

Pros

The company did provided good benefits, decent pay, as well as flexible hours. Not much else worth mentioning.

Cons

The company has terrible transparency and virtually no open-door policy to speak of. They don't really care much about the individual. Essentially the "Wal-Mart" of architecture firms.

It's unfortunate that this was your experience - it doesn't sound like the culture that we've created. We design some of the most iconic buildings in the nation. No two projects are ever alike. We wish you well in your future endeavors!
