Pros

Free meals everyday. Good insurance. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Terrible communication between team members and poor management. Most people encountered barely contribute to work, and then bullies the ones that do. They also took people on a company retreat knowing that they are laying people off right after the retreat. Absolutely toxic behavior and unprofessional.

I couldn't be happier

Pros

I recently hit my 1 year anniversary with Lambda and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier. When I was looking to leave my last job, I was looking for a company that would allow me to grow, provide a nice work/life balance and any type of support I might need. I interviewed with the founders of Lambda and during those conversations I was told that if I joined the company that sky would be the limit as far as what I could learn and get my hands on, and looking back on my experience so far, that still remains true today. I joined Lambda when the company was just under 30 people. Today we're getting pretty close to 100, which means we've gone through a tremendous amount of growth. But what separates Lambda from most other companies is that leadership has continued to put their employees first. In my experience with some of my past companies, Recruiting can often times feel like a thankless job but it doesn't here. I've been continuously thanked for my contributions to the company and leadership has always made time for me whenever I've needed it. They also genuinely care about their staff and are incredibly understanding. I've worked at other companies where taking PTO or sick time could feel like a double edged sword. Taking time off can sometimes mean extra work for a colleague or getting behind on your workload. It's a terrible feeling and I'm happy to report this isn't the case here. Our leaders encourage everyone to take the time we need and that's honestly something I'm still getting used to. Even though most of the company is able to work remotely, we can still wake up in the morning and not feel so great, so having a culture where we're encouraged to take time off has been wonderful. The last thing I want to touch on a little bit more (I know this review is getting really long, sorry) is our culture. Everyone who works here is super smart, professional, welcoming and driven to be the best at what they've been hired to do. Additionally, since most of us are able to work remotely, we're all very mindful of each other's time. I sit on the West Coast and I have never had to take an early morning meeting, or one outside of my working hours, because someone I needed to meet with sat in a different timezone. Lastly, even though we're a start up and lots of responsibility comes with that, I'm not working crazy hours or weekends. I will always be grateful for my past experiences at other companies, but I'm incredibly thankful to have landed at Lambda. I'm cared about, am supported and I'm learning something new every day. Here is to many more work anniversaries!

Cons

There is the occasional growing pain that comes with being a start up, but that's expected. I wouldn't consider this a con.
