      Toxic upper management - two tech bros failing up + micromanagement

      Pros

      A lot of great ICs to work with, genuinely wanting to make things better. New pay scale is competitive.

      Cons

      Two inexperienced tech-bros swept up by market demand for GPUs into a failing upwards scenario. Almost every quarter these two read some nonsense on the internet and think "this is how I should run the company". Consistently chipping away at morale, leaving tenured staff just vesting. Low morale, lots of backstabbing among management and not to mention the overbearing micromanagement by the CTO. The medical benefits are a joke. Also the two founders keep this mirage of "open communication" but as any old timer will tell you, saying something will put a target on your back and you'll be gone in about one quarter.

      Pros

      - Great people to work with. - Lots of freedom to pursue projects that interest you. - Leadership trusts you to do your job. - All coworkers are top notch professionals who care about doing this the right way, but also making sure the business needs are being met. - Great space that is exploding in market cap. - Very exciting products being built. Lots of hype and excitement. Many of the complaints in other reviews regarding senior managers is correct. The brothers are new at this and they're being asked to lead a now $1 billion company. However, I have been deeply encouraged at the senior-level hires they are making. It seems they are learning from their mistakes and are taking active steps towards putting the right people in the right places.

      Cons

      - Benefits are subpar. - Senior leadership regularly fails to communicate to line managers properly. - Difficult to know exactly what should be worked on, but this is getting better.
