Pros

Nursing leadership is strong and very knowledgeable Open to communication from staff. Listens to concerns and needs. Continually improving staffing and safety

Cons

CEO has never set foot on the units and as a psychologist should not be dictating nursing processes. Managed by UHS which dictates rather then reviews processes to make improvements. Safety concerns remains as medically compromised patients are admitted and there is no physician onsite to treat appropriately.

Decent but management is to blame for most of the issues

If you work hard and pick up extra hours you will generally be treated well Almost unlimited overtime Pay is good if you negotiate

Cons

Incompetence from some of upper management Not much ability to grow Safety issues Staffing is abysmal most of the time
