Pros

Working at Land O'Lakes was a good experience. Though my contract was cut short because budget cuts.

Cons

There was lack of work towards the end. I don't know if it's due in part because projects weren't getting approved.

Pros

Steady work, competitive pay, and good benefits.

Cons

If you start as a new employee, you'll be a floater, and have to learn all the jobs in the plant, training can be a year or longer, all to have the worst job. Management is a joke, most of the senior employees do however much or little they want with no consequences. They run their plants by seniority, yet have no Union.

Pros

Employee loyalty beyond what it should be good for the people that are capable of doing their job, bad in the cases where the people are are incapable of doing their jobs.

Cons

Horribly managed management. Too much turn around at the higher upper management w/ no turn around at the middle management level. There is a long list of handing over upper management positions to whomever is next in line. They went through a transition where they basically took everyone from Ingersoll Rand's upper management and w/in a year made huge purchases to Oracle that were over-budget, where the company did not have the capital to keep up the development and upgrade costs. Those who were in control moved to Safeway handed the reins down to lower Ingersoll management brought over and left the company basically w/ no-way to support the infrastructure and development that was implemented. Currently there is millions of dollars of equipment that is being unused because they cannot support the licensing costs while the employee's supporting the environments are being cut back and supporting more w/ less w/ no hope of upgrading properly. All projects that were put together to make these things better were axed and now not much of anything happens other than people leaving.
