Decent company, good people, but hard to move up and benefits aren'

Pros

Work life balance is nice. Pay is above average for what your responsibilities are (at least in my department) Lots of time away from work while on the clock such as volunteering, parties etc.

Cons

Extremely difficult to move-up within the company. Had five interviews, but none of them pulled through for me. I was told I could get some on-the-job training in the transportation department I was looking to join after interviewing with the hiring managers(for one of the jobs I didn't get). I arranged time to meet with them, but when it was time, my manager in my department told me that the company doesn't allow that unless you take hours from your PTO. Hard to move up here.

My favorite things about this company are the people (down-to-earth, genuine, and hardworking) and the purpose. Feeding the world in innovative ways is an exciting journey to be a part of. There are huge growth opportunities here if you take advantage of them. The company also pays well and genuinely cares about employees. Work-life balance is a big deal to me and I feel like I have it working here.

Cons

Honestly can't think of any that stand out - this is a special place, especially compared to other comparable organizations.
