Pros

Competitive Salary/Benefits package. That's about it. DO NOT STAY IN IT FOR THE BENEFITS/MONEY.

Cons

There are very few women or minorities at the company. I only came across 1 who was both in my time there. Any woman you do come across is at the admin level. Average employee is a white baby boomer male. They are the least innovative company I've ever worked for but are under the delusion that they are cutting edge. Worst of all is probably the HR department's inability to remain a bipartisan mediator. The only thing coming out of that department was sarcasm and pointed fingers.

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. An important point you mentioned was around diversity. At Land O’Lakes, we take pride in being a high-performing organization built on the foundation of a diverse and inclusive workforce. We believe individuals and teams should represent a wide range of talents, experiences and perspectives. From our Corporate Equality Index score, to our on campus Employee Resource Groups and co-sponsorship of the largest diversity and inclusion conference in the county, we invite you to see how our culture has and continues to transform: bit.ly/1KvwYNz

Once great company being ruined by a PC culture

Pros

Pay and benefits are well above the local average. Nice, brand new building to work at (if you are at corp HQ)

Cons

Falling over itself to be hip, happening, and WOW to lure millennials. Forgetting the bedrock was built by farmers who worked in the dirt, milked cows at 4am, and people working in dirty, dangerous feed mills and dairy plants. Very little promotion from within. 10 years 'behind' the curve and now trying to offshore IT -- when everyone else is reversing that. A culture of 'consensus' where every decision has to be ruminated before being executed, combined with a culture of zero accountability where even people who make egregious, expensive mistakes still receive variable comp and praise.

Pros

Stable company in a growth industry. Competitive pay and benefits. Locations all over the country and the corporate headquarters is in Minneapolis

Cons

Good old boy network all the way to the top. People are judged based upon the wrong things. Not very welcoming to outsiders. Leaders have a very elite attitude and seem very proud of that.
