Pros

Some nice employees. Customer focused. User friendly internet site. Nice volunteer program. 401k & flex programs. Environmentally responsible. Garden and orchard.

Cons

Poor systems & reporting causing conflicting reports and most work to be manual. Lack of communication within organization. No clear career path or development. Many open positions and no intent to hire causing departments to absorb workload. Minimal or no raise even with exceptional job performance. Lack of acknowledgement of achievement. Unproffesional managers. Long work hours expected.

Pros

Flexible work/life balence Lots of employee perks from the Comer Center (Pool / Gym / indoor track) Great employee discount on all apperal Great people who care about what they do HR plans engaging employee activities, skills training and even mental health / communication training Unlike another review I find it a POSITIVE thing that Lands' End makes diversity a priority

Cons

Constant turnover through layoffs and people leaving on their own accord Lack of communication between senior leadership and the people who actually do things Days often can feel like you are fire-fighting and being expected to deliver results timely even though other teams do not meet their deadlines

Pros

-Some talented and supportive coworkers doing their best in tough conditions -Occasionally interesting design work when not derailed by shifting priorities

Cons

-I echo previous warnings about the product/design team—proceed with caution especially if moving and getting into a contract. -The environment is unpredictable and chaotic, with constant changes in direction that lead to wasted work and endless re-dos. -Expectations of over development are unrealistic given the chronic understaffing. -Morale is extremely low. Teams are exhausted and burning out with no relief in sight. -Layoffs happen annually. Leadership openly threatens people’s jobs in group settings creating un-safe environment -Pay is below market for the level of skill and workload expected. -The office is located 40 minutes from any major town which creates even longer work days. In office time is unpredictable as teams plan around what works best for when leadership can travel to Wisconsin. -Leadership shows little awareness or accountability for the instability they create. Communication is poor, and trust is low across teams.
