Pros

Good discount, good quality merchandise, boutique is a nice environment . Great sales and discount at Sears, Kmart as well.

Cons

Horrible pay rate is not commensurate with experience. Management comunicates poorly and certainly does not represent Lands' 'End image. Inconsistencies in schedule.

Pros

Good salary and benefits, onsite health center, southwest Wisconsin is great, good people.

Cons

Horrible, indecisive senior management whose only concern is trying not to look stupid. Virtually no communication or training. Disorganized. More impressed with an enthusiastic moron who works long hours and messes things up than with good employees. Senior management seems mad because they don't live in New York.

Pros

Sleepy and easy to stay invisible unless a bully manager realizes you're not a townie.

Cons

Constant suttle clique townie politics. If you aren't from that area - better bring your own people if you want decent social encounters. Surprisingly large amount of managers that either never left the county and are easily threatened. Its either a place to start your career or end it there. Do not think you can work your way up anywhere. After 3 years, the townies have your number. Career retirees come for less pay but less burden and don't care about additional career goals. If you're looking for 4-5 years before retiring - this is your place. Get your vacation days & salary up front and don't expect any recognition - but you'll get the insurance benefits which is really what you want anyway.
