Pros

Sadly, no other small town competition. Period.

Cons

Mgmt seems inept and disorganized at times resulting in poor if any communication which interrupts the ability to complete daily tasks and leads to confusion regarding responsibility and results in a "who's driving the car?" feeling of confusion. Mgmt teams do not communicate or work together cooperatively resulting in a we against them mentality and a loss of effectiveness.

Pros

No need to work hard (working hard makes you stand out in a 'bad' way). Lots of time off...summer hrs basically give everyone every other Friday off. A lot like working for a government agency. Comer center is great benefit. Constantly having parties, treats and sweet days, reasons to party.

Cons

Promotions based on yrs experience and LE knowledge and not skill or ability. If experienced person coming from outside, you will be targeted as a threat by 'townies' (fraternity of mid-level managers/long term employees local to area) unless you conform. Salary is lower than can be found in Madison. No team environment. People regularly get 'set up' to cover incompetent mangers and their bad decisions. Dismal attitudes by people there...very few seem to be happy to be there.
