Excellent place to work, grow, and lead
Pros
After working for a couple different engineering consulting firms, I can see the unique culture and value that Langan brings. They support an entrepreneurial spirit and truly give young engineers and consultants the opportunity to not only work on some of the most exciting and high-profile projects, but take real ownership in their success. They put a lot of responsibility in the hands of young staff and managers, unlike many other companies where you feel like a throwaway cog in a machine. When you help clients solve problems, you really feel like you were part of the solution. They have also made strides recently to improve the office workplace, moving towards a more modern, open office, but not so open that you have no personal space. They put enough emphasis on people development and advancement is fairly regular, but appropriately merit-based.
Cons
Because of the amount of responsibility they place on staff and managers, the work can really pile up. There are big opportunities here, but it will take hard work to get the most out of them. Sometimes, it can feel understaffed.
