Flexible schedule, free credits, low stress. Superiors were great. Department meetings at fun locations.

Cons

Little to no room for advancement, no work during school breaks and in between semesters.

Pros

The Science Department had a diverse faculty while I was employed there. Most people were cordial and friendly. The reason I left was due to personal/family reasons. Otherwise, I would have continued working there and work towards full-time employment.

Cons

Most faculty are part-time adjuncts. So, it is common for people to leave for better opportunities.

Lots of autonomy. Great students. Friendly colleagues

Cons

Very little chance for advancements. Criteria for selecting full time instructors places student satisfaction, course success rates and performance with LCC as irrelevant to the hiring process, an excellent way to demoralize employees.
