      Pros

      The students are prepared to learn, meaning they come with good writing and math skills. Many of them go to LCC before transferring to MSU. The college supports its staff with training and resources.

      Cons

      It is hard to get a full-time position teaching.

      The staff members genuinely care about the students and making sure that they succeed.

      Like some other academic institutions, the work can slow down quite a bit during the summer session

      Incredible benefits. Good stable place to work for the long-term.

      Cons

      Union structure is confining if you are looking for job growth or compensation based on merit. LCC is not a nimble organization and moves at a glacial pace, especially hiring process.
