Not losing sight of the employees while they try to grow and get better
Pros
LDG gets how employees make the difference in a service-oriented industry. Lots of very intelligent and highly-capable professionals. Year over year growth is phenomenal (2012 was only exception but they still grew and paid great bonuses out). Learning how to inject accountability into a friendly place which often makes friendly people uncomforable but they're slowly getting it. CEO had the baxxs to tell the entire place that LDG needed to revist the Vision and Strategy created in 2012 as the senior managment team was a shade or two off (not much but enough to be honest and revisit). Sr Management is directly involved in retooling the Vision and Strategy. How many companies would just tell everyone what the Vision and Strategy are instead of involving key leaders in crafting it? NOT MANY!!!
Cons
Communication can always be better. Increase transparency to all levels within the company. Insist Accountabilty gets injected into the firm...do these, be true to your solid culture, and everything else will take care of itself.
