Pros

-20%discount -Free items most expired or hand me downs from what others didn't want in other departments -Some good coworkers who are actual team players -One hand countable good managers

Cons

Where do I start?? Most managers are managers because they knew who to talk to, to climb up. With that said they have little to no management skills. Most managers are friends, or at least they pretend to be friends since most are fake and talk behind each other's back. But regardless the clique will act differently toward you if you're in bad terms with one or one didn't like you for some reason. Managers don't know how to handle stress professionally and channel out to their team members in ways that are very degrading!! Pay is slightly above minimum for cashiers and regular clerks but considered low based on what has to be done or what has to be done by managers and gets pushed down to clerks since some are just too busy on their personal phone conversing about something that's obviously a lot more important to them than their work since it happens almost on a daily.. No I'm not just bashing at you perishables manager.. It goes for a department or two. Training.. No trainings are given. For a cashier it's a quick run down of where buttons are located in the monitor used for checkout, a brief talk as to what has to be "done," you apparently aren't told of other things that had to be done so you get pulled to the side to have a talk. As of what I've heard of from other departments, no trainings are given. When the word is out that the owner is on his way or upper management all hell breaks lose. Managers quickly work on things that should of been worked on earlier or sometimes days ago. Sending their clerks on quick fix it missions. Like restrooms, table top cleaning and so forth. If they want you to move from stores, you'll move without you having a say!! My fellow coworker got moved without being asked! This job is good for the many life experiences you'll get here.. Because you're forced to grow mentally from all the bad you see here!!

Managers suck

Pros

-day goes by fast (most days) -flexible hours -you grow a vast knowledge of difference foods and vitamins -sometimes you get stuff that has expired

Cons

-managers think they're better than you -people easily get promoted, even if they definitely don't deserve it -all the managers are friends/clique-y so if one gets mad they all do -they move you to different departments all the time. Sometimes even different stores. And you don't have a say whether you want to or not. -you work beyond your job title and pay -the managers pull you aside and lecture you (or yell) unprofessionally.

Pros

People- Great coworkers, great setting to meet like-minded individuals with similar health interests. Products- Good opportunity to try out new products.

Cons

Misguided management. Upper management are very stressed out, and have challenges with dealing with that stress. Usually lash out at other employees instead of channeling stress properly. Deceptive marketing.
