Pros

Positive work environment, and a great community within the office. My colleagues were very welcoming and helpful. They always made sure I was on the right track, and were open to answer questions whenever I had them. The higher management was very nice and took time out of their schedules to check in on me periodically. I worked with the Post-Closing division of the Mortgage department and had responsibilities of my own after the first week. They were much more than typical aimless internship duties. There was often pressure to complete my tasks, but as mentioned there was always people who were willing to help. Overall, it was enjoyable experienced.

Cons

Truthfully there weren't many complaints about Leader Bank, maybe because I was only there for a short period, or because it was an enjoyable experience

High turnover rate, reflection of what you will get here

Pros

Some really great people to work with, occasional catered luncheons/meetings, smaller organization but rapid work environment due to growth, some positions have significantly more responsibilities than others but still are compensated higher, hopefully you're the lucky one!

Cons

Nepotism prevails over ability to complete one's responsibilities, low spectrum for compensation as well as benefits, virtually no incentives. Lack of communication between and within departments, communication methods are impersonal and do not promote an effective work environment. Lack of middle management in some departments, very hands off when it comes to training but hands on and finger pointing occurs when mistakes are made.

One man show

Pros

Good People and Good location

Cons

Pay is extremely low. If you are not a loan officer earning bonus, you get paid in pennies. Its clearly one man show. CEO likes to micro manage everything from pay to vacations. Career opportunity only if you are ready to agree with everything the management says.
