Pros

Ive been with LeafLink for a few months now, what I can tell you is everyone here is incredibly driven by the mission and what LeafLink is doing for this industry. Sure there are some bumps in the road (like any start up finding its way) but that doesn't out way the strong sense of purpose I feel with the projects i'm working on and the people I get to do that with. Other highlights: great benefits, flexible PTO that I can actually utilize, learning and development opportunities is strongly encouraged here which I love

Cons

The industry in itself can cause for a lot of changes where we need to adapt quickly. That being said it keeps me on my toes which I like but we all find a way to get through it as a team

Pros

I saw a few different "eras" of LeafLink in my 4-ish years there, and I believe all the reviews here contained a good amount of truth at the time they were written. I certainly had a wild ride at LeafLink which was fun, exciting, frustrating, and satisfying; Often times all at once! There were some pretty major issues at the leadership level which were resolved somewhat by the time I left, and I feel confident that the experience of working at LeafLink will continue to improve as more good people are hired there. The product is in a very interesting place where all it really needs to do is figure out what to do with the pretty considerable market share it already has. I saw several different strategies to become profitable in my time there and although the definitive "silver bullet" still remained elusive, I feel pretty confident that the leadership team is doing all the right things to figure that out in the coming quarters/years. If you are someone who is looking to have a big impact at a startup and isn't scared of a little chaos, it could be a really great place for you! The good things: - Great, friendly colleagues! - Tremendous opportunity to have a considerable impact on the engineering org and take ownership of products/features - Interesting insights into the cannabis industry - Supportive managers who actually care/advocate for you - Good work/life balance

Cons

The bad things: - Quite a bit of chaos! My role required me to wear many hats - exciting at times, but also could be quite frustrating - Organizational priorities tended to change frequently, but this was often necessary and I didn't necessarily disagree with the latest direction - Inconsistent quality and inflated roles were pervasive in the org when I was there - There's some rough legacy code which needs some work (but I'm not sure there are many startups that doesn't have this issue...) - Benefits package was just okay (no 401k match, moderately expensive health benefits - Base comp is competitive, but it's really all they had to offer)

LeafLink has lost its way

Pros

The industry is captivating, and the remaining employees possess great talent and genuine dedication. However, it is evident that the company and its culture were notably superior before mid-2022.

Cons

In the past 6-12 months, LeafLink has veered off course. The company has struggled with strategy, sales, prioritization. It has also experienced multiple rounds of layoffs, witnessed extensive and unfavorable changes in its executive leadership and high levels of attrition of key talent. These issues have compounded to create a detrimental company culture, a failing product, and a declining sales function.
