Pros

Meeting lots of new people and building great relationships with parents,staff and children.

Cons

Being at work by 4:30AM and coming in on Saturdays at 6:00AM for inventory at the end of every month.

Pros

Highly enjoyable watching the kids grow; most of them were sweet and respectful. Many of the teachers and the administration loved being teachers, loved being with the kids, and could work well with others. School district seems to be making the right moves in terms of staff and teacher development.

Cons

There was a tendency for the administration to talk down to the teachers, as if they were talking with the middle-schoolers themselves. Pockets of administration and teachers were catty, gossiping about parents, students, and each other. Administrative attitude towards teachers and support staff tended to be directive in nature and not as collaborative as I thought it would be.
