My contract was for 186 days a year. Loved having paid summers and winter breaks.

Cons

You can't do this job if you are single. You won't be able to support yourself with this salary, living in this area.

The only "con" that I have is that balancing work and home life can be a struggle. That is teacher life anywhere, though!
