      Pros

      I have been with our district for around a decade across several campuses, in multiple roles. We have all of the resources you need to run a classroom and get support! Professional learning involves choice most of the time and each campus works with the district to support new educators.

      Cons

      Pay is about the same as anywhere else in education in Texas

      Pros

      I have worked in dysfunctional schools, but Leander does it right. I feel so lucky to work in this district and in this job. Parents are mostly supportive and helpful.

      Cons

      Leander doesn’t pay as much as higher-needs districts and schools. Kids and parents may sometimes have unrealistic expectations.

      Great District!

      Pros

      Relatively small, people from the district know you by name, there is a good amount of freedom, no district assessments (although they might be bringing those back). People at the district are good at what they do and they do care a lot about the teachers and listen to feedback we provide.

      Cons

      It is in education so you get all the cons of education.
