Pros

Coworkers are great and make it enjoyable. Some designers are so talented and should really take their talent somewhere else.

Cons

The worst job you could ever imagine having. Management doesn't have a clue about what goes on. They've recently launched a "re-organization" of the company splitting everyone into separate teams which somehow is supposed to make everyone work together. It's actually turned in to "that's not my job." You're expected to work 6 days a week and they don't allow for unexpected days off due to emergencies. Turn over is insanely high, it's almost like a brand new staff compared to this time last year.

Pros

You get to write for a living.

Cons

Terribly managed operation from the top down. All newspapers are struggling right now, but Lee is among the worst in the way it is trying to adapt to the current environment and most often it is the reporters who suffer, which leads to a bad product and exactly zero sense of pride in the work, which is evidenced by the malaise on editors' faces, almost universally.
