Just Because You Are 'Sober' Doesn't Mean You Should Open a Rehab
Pros
Facilities are wonderful and the thought is in the right place.
Cons
In Florida it's not uncommon for people in recovery to start businesses to help others, and if their heads and minds are in the right place - this could end up being a good thing - but when you don't know what you are doing. Disastrous. Marc/Ben/Travis run Legacy as best as they can with the limited knowledge they have about recovery, which is dangerous for those seeking true sobriety. They bring in Mob Wives from VH1 (who are seen out at bars and clubs) and are celebrity focused, constantly updating their merchandise and selling fauxGucci shirts and raggedy backpacks. Trying to push this Hollywood elite version of a rehab. The operation they have built is truly impressive, but when you spend time with those at the top - it's scary. Neither Marc/Ben or Travis know how to truly deal with people (or truly relate with others), and operate a treatment center more like a failing Fortune 500 trading firm. Beyond that none of them have that much experience themselves in actual sobriety, and the danger in telling others how to live their lives and what to do - should be keep for the rooms of AA, and not an attempt to make a profit.
