Business Outlook
Pros
Collegial atmosphere, excellent training, supervisors very helpful. One of the few law firms that is organized, i.e., you have a union. As you develop skill, you get more responsibility -- more challenging cases.
Cons
Low salary for NYC and public interest law. Must work occasional weekend and night court. Stressful at times. There are several rude and plain stupid judges. Don't take this job unless you can keep personal feelings in check, meaning an appropriate distance from your clients -- most of them are going away and you cannot blame yourself.
