Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the value you brought to the company during that pilot program. Tough decisions sometimes need to be made in order to meet the ever changing needs of our customers. We did our best to find new positions for the affected employees and are sorry it did not work out for you. We hope you visit our website to see if there are any openings you may be interested in.

Pros

Excellent medical insurance coverage currently through aetna..

Cons

Managers use poorly source/created reporting to arbitrary promote or fire employees. End of year assessments are just for show because you pretty much get Exceeds expectations only if your manager likes you because you make them look good. They claim on the top 6% can achieve and receive Exceeds expectations rating. You're constantly having to document every all interactions with senior leadership and hr because they will literally have tech delete entire slack conversations and gaslight you to believe it never happened. The arbitrary decide weather or not a coaching is considered a corrective which allows them to pick and chose if they will pay out your monthly bonus. I would rate this company 0 stars if I could. Would not recommend to my worse enemy.

Pros

Remote work, though you will be required to travel to California each quarter.

Cons

My experience working at LegalZoom was disappointing to say the least. The stress levels were debilitating, and the chaos within the product organization was overwhelming. Designers were not only expected to manage their own workload but also take on the responsibilities of a product manager due to a lack of talent and experience in product leadership. This resulted in constant confusion and frustration, making it a very challenging environment to work in. The culture severely lacked any sense of work-life balance. It was clear that leadership had no vision or clarity on the company’s direction. This disorganization trickled down to every level, creating an environment where extreme micromanagement was the norm, and as a designer, I felt completely stripped of any autonomy. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow, be creative, and maintain your sanity, this isn’t it. I would not recommend LegalZoom to anyone who values their mental health and a positive work enviornment.
