Pros

Benefits and job flexibility for the now defunct tax team were very desirable.

Cons

Management brought in former Amazon management who treated the tax division like an assembly line and had NO idea what they were doing despite the tax team giving firm guidance on needed measures to make it successful!! They then used their positions in LZ to leverage new and higher positions within the company, leaving the tax team in an ever constant state of change. The new CEO (s) then came in and just scrapped everything that we all had worked for in the last 5 years and laid off the entire team.

Pros

Despite the challenges, the dedication and support of many employees create a sense of camaraderie and make the workplace manageable. Additionally, the company offers good benefits and remote work options.

Cons

Lack of Direction: The company frequently changes its strategic direction and product focus, which creates confusion and instability. This lack of clear vision affects overall productivity and employee morale. Frequent Layoffs: There have been numerous rounds of mass layoffs, which creates an environment of uncertainty and insecurity among employees. The constant threat of job loss impacts job satisfaction and trust in leadership. Poor Communication: There is a significant gap in communication from management regarding the company's future plans and rationale behind strategic changes. Employees are often left in the dark about major decisions that affect their roles and the company’s direction. Impact on Employees: The lack of stable direction and the frequent layoffs place a heavy burden on employees, leading to decreased morale and increased stress. The constant shifts and job insecurity make it difficult to maintain motivation and focus. Compensation bands have also really lowered over the past year.
