Pros

I am blessed to be a part of an incredible team. We are a team in the true sense of the word. I feel my manager and my manager's manager truly care about me and my career goals and do their best to expand and grow my skills. I feel very cared for. While there has been a great deal of change during the 10 years I have been with Leidos, I would not want to work for anyone else. Great compensation. Terrific work/life balance. Very focused on ethics.

Cons

As mentioned above, there has been quite a bit of change at Leidos over the years (new CEO's, splitting of SAIC into two companies). That has created a feeling of instability at times, and there has been some frustration over changing benefits and streamlining of processes. This is probably fairly normal, as all companies must go through changes, but I get the feeling many employees are stressed and morale is lower than it should be.

Pros

The company allows me to do my job on base with few problems. I receive support from my supervisor when it's needed.

Cons

I understand the company to be struggling a bit but keeping pay and benefits down for people charging to contracts is a bad business model. People who are happy jump on opportunities they hear about in Government facilities and try and bring in people they know to fill Government needs through their own company. People who feel their benefits and pay aren't up to par don't go out of their way to do this. As a contract employee over some years, I see this sort of thing happening all the time. Growing, successful companies are those that keep their workers happy. Healthcare was lessened, 401k match lowered, long term disability dumped, raises kept low, and top leadership is bailing out. As an employee, this makes me concerned for the company's long term prospects.

Pros

I worked at SAIC/Leidos for nearly 5 years. * Pays well * Lots of autonomy. Sink or swim on your own.

Cons

* Out of pocket healthcare expenses have risen by over $1000 a month for my family in the last four years. * Don't expect a lot of feedback from management. * Low morale.
