Pros

-Good health insurance and benefits -Nice office if you get to go in -Fun perks -Good PTO and sick policies -Some very nice people who care

Cons

-Toxic, inexperienced, dishonest leadership, particularly in CLX -Pay is often below average with very little mobility -Internal tech has great aesthetics but imo needs improvement in terms of functionality and reliability -High turnover and retention issues, especially in CLX -Diversity is not valued. Pattern of issues -Workload is often very hard to manage due to high incidence of fraud and customer harassment. You are not given adequate training or support. -Not a transparent culture. Retaliation if you don't drink the koolaid or you voice concerns -Questionable and inconsistent practices in CLX -Seems like a great culture on its surface, but behind the facade, it's not Employees in CLX are extremely burnt out and afraid to speak out because of fear of retaliation or firing.

An exceptionally toxic place to work.

Pros

Ahead of many competitors tech-wise.

Cons

Hands-down the worst professional experiences I've had in my career. In the time I worked here I witnessed or was subjected to: managers gossiping about direct reports to other direct reports in their absence, overt favoritism, retaliation, deliverable expectations changing by the day (or if you're lucky, by the week), inconsistencies in directives, a severe lack of employee-manager trust, poor and contradictory communication, zero middle (and most definitely not director level) managerial accountability. My advice to anyone considering Lemonade: Don't. Please take heed and believe the many red flags posted here (some from current employees who have been with the company for 2+ years), that collectively spell out the same message: don't do it. If you value your career, if you value having work/life balance, if you value your mental health and well-being, if you value not being undermined, healthy morale and professionalism, - please be warned this company's egregiously unprofessional and toxic culture will threaten every aspect of what I've just listed. I have never worked for nor have I ever witnessed a more toxic work environment. Please heed the warnings of many others who've taken the time to report on our experiences, and find a company that actually values their workforce. Working here was purely a traumatizing experience. I'll conclude this by piggybacking off of what has already been stated in other reviews, by multiple employees across a variety of departments - working for Lemonade with all of its popularity and promise of being an exciting and rewarding place to work is deceiving, at best. Someone else titled and summed up their review here with this phrase and it is actually quite fitting: Lemonade, the good ole' bait and switch.

Non-inclusive, hostile work place

Pros

The office is wonderful, lots of amenities, snacks, and drinks.

Cons

Senior and mid level leadership are very hostile, especially toward the nuero divergent and people of color. This company needs to do a better job treating everyone better not just wealthy white people.
