Pros

You receive a good salary and it is mostly on time. There are some nice and intelligent colleagues with whom you might get a chance to work.

Cons

It is necessary to work overtime just to be rated as "meets expectations", and if you want a chance of promotion, you have to forget about taking any time off. The work itself is challenging, mainly due to the fact that the relatively young company has managed to accumulate an incomprehensible amount of technical debt that you would normally see at a hundred-year-old company.

Pros

Great office space. Health benefits were pretty great at the beginning of my time, but then worsened. The company had a young feel to it, and wanted to change the insurance industry.

Cons

- Difficult to obtain a yearly salary increase. - Drastic pay gaps between employees of the same team - Will have work forced upon you beyond your scope. - Managers with no claims experience managing people with claims experience. - Lack of support from management when dealing with abusive customers - Very poor work life balance -Lack of diverse representation, with over 80% of management being White, vs A LOT of associate roles going to people of color.

Lemonade is really about doing some good in this world, and it really cares about its customers - it's amazing to see all the good feedback from our customers. Great opportunity to be a part of a really successful company from a relatively early stage. Lots of professional people (especially developers) to learn from. If you spot a problem that you want to fix, you are incouraged to come up with a solution and implement it. In the past months there has been an improvement in the way employees are treated and managed, and in the perks given.

Cons

The company sets very ambitious goals, and so work can get pretty stressful at times. Be prepared to work hard.
