Pros
I work at a company doing things I can be proud of. At my last company, I literally felt ashamed to work there by the end of my tenure. The exact opposite is true of Lemonade. I think the goals and mission are inspiring and achievable. My direct manager leads with kindness and transparency. She acts like a real person and allows us to all do the same while maintaining an atmosphere of exceptional work. In full transparency, I did take a bit of a pay cut to come here but my happiness has increased tremendously. A tiny paycut to sleep at night is well worth it to me plus there are lots of little perks (and big perks) such as the paid time off policies!
Cons
Lemonade is a growing company. I’d prefer to trade a little pay for happiness and flexibility - and knowing that the company I’m contributing 40 hours to every week might actually make a difference.
