Too Good to be True

Pros

Reposting because my 1st review was too harsh. The office ops team is nice and they do try. Your close team leads/coaches/coworkers will usually have your back. Your encouraged to talk to customers casually. On paper Lemonade is perfect. Policies are pretty good.

Cons

There does look like there's a bias against women/minorities sometimes. Lots of white male leadership, even on teams that are mostly women. The pay bands seem a lot like an excuse to pay women/minorities less than white male colleagues (whether upper management realizes this or not). There have been some safety concerns that are not taken seriously. We are understaffed.

Pros

Coworkers are awesome, everyone carries a positive attitude. Lots of perks like free booze, great health insurance, fun outings and little gifts here and there. Giveback program makes you feel good about working for an insurance company. Fun after work outings, and the offices are beautiful.

Cons

Well… it’s definitely not like any other insurance company. Customers are difficult (cheap policy= lots of crazies and fraudulent claims), heavy workload, lots of cliques in leadership. The biggest issue is training. Don’t think for one second you’re going to be thoroughly trained- they’d rather have your coworkers train you instead. There won’t be any resources for you outside your team. Pay is below standard and raises are given after TWO years- I made significantly more at my last job doing the same thing.
