Contents team have the worst managers

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Health benefits. PTO and sick time

Cons

There is one particular lead on the contents team who is god awful. Doesn’t have the experience as the other leads, doesn’t really have experience at all. This person played favorites a lot and pretended to care about you which was a lie. The whole team has been fired or let go but we are blaming the employees when we should be looking at management.

Lack of care for employees

Business Outlook

Pros

Work from home. Good quality work equipment. Health benefits. Good PTO and sick time.

Cons

I have worked at this company for more than 3 years and the care for employees has greatly disintegrated. The empathy is much higher for their customers than it is for their employees, which is typical for a corporate company but disappointing when transparency and empathy is widely preached as their values. There is no pay transparency and pay among employees is unfair. There has been no accommodation for inflation and I have not received a raise in more than 2 years despite hitting and sometimes exceeding all goals. They will try to get away with giving you nothing as long as they can, and have also slowly taken away other perks/benefits as the years go on. Some of management is only there due to favoritism and their lack of knowledge and experience is evident and causes a lot of frustration among employees, as the guidelines seem to change on a whim or even ignored to make it easier for the supervisor. I have brought up several issues in a respectful way, only to be gaslit by management. I know others who have the same experience so people do not tend to attempt this anymore, as it is not worth the stress and lack of accountability. As a result, the engagement and authenticity of the interactions by employee has reduced and morale can be low. The workload for certain departments is incredibly unrealistic and many people work through breaks or get very stressed to try to meet these goals, so work life balance can be very difficult despite it being a work from home job. Despite this being a remote position, there is little to zero flexibility on schedule despite the majority of employees asking to work a 4 10 schedule.
