Pros

They do pay and benefits are somewhat comparable to other companies. They try to stiff you when you get hired so watch out during the salary negotiation and make sure you hold your ground.

Cons

Management has no idea what they are doing. They are only interested in bonuses and advancement for themselves. They only get to know employees when something goes wrong and that's to have "procedure review" meetings. They are very much afraid to get their hands dirty by actually doing work. LPS is the epitome of top-down management (and not the Apple type because the top managements are idiots)

Pros

Usually pretty interesting work; most of the analytical work had a real impact on clients Good benefits depending on location/campus Quarterly bonuses - paid out quarterly Most of the people are pretty friendly

Cons

LPS consists of many different small businesses that were purchased by FIS/LPS the lack of integration of those businesses caused lots of headaches when senior managment asked for services to be integrated Lack of feedback High turnover; many of the people I worked with would "leave the company for other opportunities" Highly political environment

Pros

1) Most difficult aspect is initial hire 2) Multiple internal hire postings = multiple opportunities 3) Most departments and business units are interconnected 4) Central location in Brooklyn

Cons

1) Unless an employee has tenure, LPS is quick to terminate 2) Low employee morale 3) Unorganized, chaotic management from top to bottom 4) High turnover 5) Propensity of managers to block promotions if you are a top performer 6) Politics - guidance is not provided if you are not part of the "in crowd"
