Incredibly global company with a flat-world orientation that places it at the forefront of international management theory and implementation. The company's committment to R&D distinguishes itself from the commodity pack of PC manufacturers. It's quality committment, exemplified in the ThinkPad line as well as its emphasis on emerging markets stemming from its Chinese heritage (Legend Computer) makes Lenovo a hotbed of technology innovation.

Cons

Global orientation makes the hours long. Controlled chaos is the best way to describe the culture. It is not for everybody, especially people who need a high degree of process and management oversight. If you are not a self-starter, you are not going to succeed at Lenovo.

Great product line, and employees have a belief in the product that borders on religion.

Cons

Lenovo is still struggling to shrug off the IBM culture. The structure is one that discourages anyone taking the initiative. At times it seems instead of finding solutions to issues internal or external, that Lenovo is structured to defend against it's very self. It fosters an environment of delayed responses both internally and externally to customers.
