Pros

Quick money, opportunity to see the in and out of the food hospitality industry. Saw lots of great events and met plenty of great people (celebs and coworkers). The job works great as a stepping stone to bigger opportunities when you apply yourself.

Cons

Employee morale can be low at lot of times. We would hire pretty much anyone who wanted a job so it would cause a high turnover rate. Training was also minimal and was bad for employees who already came in with minimal experience. Work was never consistent but its expected when working based on the number of events. Also its hard to get a raise. They want you to go above and beyond in the name of the company or customer service but always had an excuse when it came to giving raises. 25 cents to $1 every year and a half is why employee morale was so low. We never felt appreciated for the work we put in.

Pros

I worked at Ford Field and it was a nice change of pace working concerts and sporting events. You see what it takes to have an event at a stadium.

Cons

Hours constantly change. You never get 40 hours, always getting sent home early or cxled. There is no training for hourly ppl so you tend to work with ppl that don't know what they are doing and are there for the money. You tend to have a lot of lazy co-workers. They don't take care of their managers. They burn them out by working them 12-18 hour days and days in a row with no time off. I've seen them work 30 days straight. They have managers do hourly work to save money also. They send managers on what they call "support" to help other locations out of state. They don't ask them to go they, they tell them that they are going. They work everyday with only 6 hours to sleep between shifts and are forced to have a "bunk mate" so they don't even get any privacy when they aren't working. They have to car pool and only get $15.00 a day for meals. They can be gone for a month without seeing their families or any time off. They are expected to work everyday. Why would you want to move up to management?
