Pros

Working near Wrigley Field can be a lively environment. The two leaders in HR are very knowledgeable and do offer support. The office and staff are very friendly.

Cons

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company, especially for those in hourly roles. There's a noticeable divide between hourly staff and management, leading to a lack of fairness and respect for employees at the lower levels. This may not be at direct fault of the managers and leaders within the office, but it is a noticeable unbalance. The pay is low for the amount of work expected, and there are very few opportunities for advancement. While management enjoys large holiday parties and new equipment, there’s barely a budget for the essentials like office supplies, and hourly employees are often left out of these perks. Micromanagement from one manager was a big issue for myself and others. Regularly assign tasks that seem like work they don’t want to handle themselves, which feels frustrating and demoralizing. Additionally, there’s little flexibility in the schedule, which makes it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The turnover at the coordinator level is extremely high, and it’s easy to see why. The work environment is simply not conducive to long-term job satisfaction.

Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Discounts at their restaurants which are really good

Cons

The IT department/Product Teams for the OMS and point of sale application - Unorganized, bullying, overall toxic work environment, poor software development practices, senior employees are allowed to trade other employees poorly with no repercussions. Value employees who are knowledgeable of the product over how they treat others or if they follow the rules. I have worked on many IT projects within several offices and this was one of the worst experiences. There is a group of women who work in product that bully other employees by laughing at them in meetings when they don’t understand the product or have ideas they don’t approve of. The term Mean Girls suits them well. A senior Engineer who has who apparently helped build the product is disrespectful and rude to the other employees and this is completely disregarded by management.

Pay Pros & Cons

Pros

It is a cashless music and sports venue so you don't have to worry about keeping up with counting money in or out. The hours are flexible because of the music and sports events. You get paid a few dollars higher in base pay because its more corporate than a regular bar. Advancement to other positions is possible after a few seasons.

Cons

They control the amount of money you make by making it difficult to get tipped outside of credit cards which at the end isn't even good as a bartender when you can't get all your tips or have to deny people from tipping you. Again, its cashless but if a customer wanted to tip you in cash you could get written up or fired for making them change from your pocket and you can't have a tip jar. And EVEN THOUGH its cashless if someone wants to send you a tip to digital wallets like cash app or venmo you can't give them your info or you could be fired.
