Pros

I worked at Ford Field and it was a nice change of pace working concerts and sporting events. You see what it takes to have an event at a stadium.

Cons

Hours constantly change. You never get 40 hours, always getting sent home early or cxled. There is no training for hourly ppl so you tend to work with ppl that don't know what they are doing and are there for the money. You tend to have a lot of lazy co-workers. They don't take care of their managers. They burn them out by working them 12-18 hour days and days in a row with no time off. I've seen them work 30 days straight. They have managers do hourly work to save money also. They send managers on what they call "support" to help other locations out of state. They don't ask them to go they, they tell them that they are going. They work everyday with only 6 hours to sleep between shifts and are forced to have a "bunk mate" so they don't even get any privacy when they aren't working. They have to car pool and only get $15.00 a day for meals. They can be gone for a month without seeing their families or any time off. They are expected to work everyday. Why would you want to move up to management?

Pros

I actually make really good money. A meal is provided. Because of the lack of management skills, employees are able to run themselves and make the customer happy any way possible.

Cons

Very little communication from management. Revolving door of managers. Management has little to no experience. Nothing is ever the same from one shift to another. No organization. A lot of hurry up and wait. Management never takes any responsibilities for their mistakes. Instead they target hourly employees and put the blame on them until they are fired or just have had enough and quit.

Pros

Great people, lots of opportunity, energy, and excitement. You can take a chance and try something new and different and forge your own path. The senior management is a small group that works well together so if you are interested in making a change to a different department, it can happen naturally through conversations with your boss and their peers.

Cons

There are so many parties involved as support and resources that it can be difficult to make decisions and get a clear direction. You definitely have to be self motivated.
