As part of Reed Elsevier, the spectre of redundancy is always around. Throughout the group there seems to be the perception that the geographic centralisation of staff will reap benefits. This is unlikely to prove the case in the long-term, as the people with the best skills and experience may chose to seek employment elsewhere rather than relocate. And it cannot be assumed that that exceptional individual will be present in your back yard.
