      Opportunities for relocation, training, very supportive of volunteering opportunities, working hard to reduce carbon footprint

      Poor communication from senior management regarding changes to the business - specifically, changing company vision, compensation for many positions is less than 50% of the market average

      Pros

      Lexis is on the cutting edge of many IT trends - It has many knowledgeable employees who pull together to get projects done when it is crunch time. It is located in a great place to raise a family.

      Cons

      Job security - Bottomline - Right now Lexis has layed off 500-600 employees in the last six months and everyone is gun shy that they will be next. The reasons given for the outsourcing (save money), are not reassuring as anyone's job can be lost despite 10, 15 or 20 years of loyal service. Loyalty is a one way street at Lexis and yes, please consider me as slightly bitter as I have lost some good co-workers and will be expected to pick up any slack and in all likelihood help train my outsourced replacement.
